DC Chapter Luncheon Featuring Carol Leonnig, The Washington Post

The next Women’s White Collar Defense Association DC Chapter Lunch will be Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 12:30 pm, hosted by Biz Van Gelder, Niki Sprinzen, Rebecca Brodey, Karen Williams and Emily Gurskis at Cozen O’Connor, 1200 19th Street, NW, Suite 300, Washington, DC.

The Washington Post’s Carol Leonnig will be our guest speaker. Leonnig is a Pulitzer Prize winning investigative reporter who has been at The Washington Post since 2000.  Her work holding governments accountable has drawn numerous national awards and led to major legislative reform and federal investigations.  She won the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for her work on the security failures and misconduct within the US Secret Service. She was also part of a Washington Post team that was awarded the Pulitzer for revealing the US government’s secret, broad surveillance of Americans through the disclosures of Edward Snowden. Leonnig currently reports on the Mueller special counsel investigation and investigates Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Before joining The Washington Post, Leonnig covered city halls, legislatures and Congress in various postings at the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Charlotte Observer and the Washington bureau of the former Knight-Ridder newspaper chain.

We hope to see you at the lunch!
