New Orleans

The New Orleans Chapter of the Women’s White Collar Defense Association (WWCDA) was launched in 2015 to provide local, regional and national networking opportunities for female attorneys in Louisiana whose practices focus on representing companies and individuals in connection with the investigation and prosecution of criminal and regulatory violations at the state and federal level. Our membership includes former government officials from the Department of Justice and US Attorney’s offices with specialties in environmental, healthcare, securities, cybercrime and government contracting, among others.

Founded on the Mississippi River in 1718, New Orleans became the capitol of the French colony of Louisiana and shaped the future of the United States. New Orleans is the largest city in Louisiana with a unique mix of culture, people and businesses. Louisiana, with the Gulf of Mexico at its base, has an abundant supply of natural resources with a strategic geographic location unparalleled by any other state in the nation. New Orleans is a hub for the oil and gas industry. Also, New Orleans is home for the Fifth Circuit Federal Court of Appeals.

The local New Orleans group plans on meeting quarterly hosting social networking events as well as informational programs. Our goal is to provide opportunities to build businesses, to broaden the network of professional contacts among professionals and to train and mentor young women in the white collar defense practice.
