The Italy Chapter of the Women’s White Collar Defense Association (WWCDA) was launched in February 2019 by lawyers Francesca Chiara Bevilacqua, from Gianni Origoni Grippo Cappelli & Partners, and Gaia DaposUrbano, from De Lorenzi Micciché Scalera Spada – Avvocati Associati.
In a country where female lawyers have greatly increased in the last twenty years, now covering almost half of the total number of the Bar members, the Italy Chapter affiliates feel that further efforts are needed to enhance their visibility and strength in the field of white collar defense. Their goal is thus to foster relationships, confrontation and solidarity among women lawyers and consultants engaged in this field.
The Italy Chapter welcomes experienced women professionals specializing in criminal, civil and regulatory matters, as well as internal investigations and compliance-related assistance.
Activities planned include seminars aimed at discussing current issues of the white collar field and networking events.
