The Irish Chapter was founded in July 2018 at a luncheon hosted by Joanelle O’Cleirigh and Deirdre O’Mahony, partners at Arthur Cox, Dublin.
The number of female solicitors practising in Ireland recently surpassed the number of male solicitors and, with increasing government focus on the investigation and prosecution of white collar crime, it was a fitting time to launch the Irish Chapter.
Membership is open to women solicitors and barristers with at least five years’ relevant experience. The group meets several times a year and also hosts events that are open to the public. Members are encouraged to support each other in their professional development and to use the group as a forum for the discussion of white collar issues.
